In October of 1972, a small group of Kalamazoo parents and teachers gathered to discuss their vision for a community of learners based on respect for the unique qualities of each individual.

They were led by Christine Morgan and Stephen Phillips. This was the birth of Kazoo School. We opened our doors in January, 1973.
