Summer Session 2024

Those who do not attend Kazoo can join!

Summer Session at Kazoo is taking inspiration from memories of favorite summers of decades past, and our offerings are a more relaxed hang-out-with-the-kids-in-your-neighborhood style.

We will also have some workshops available for specific topics, such as Animation and Photography. These classes have limited availability and are for specific age groups. Workshop details are listed below.

Come for the morning, afternoon, or whole day. We will be under our learning pavilions, in Kleinstuck Nature Preserve, and on the Kazoo playgrounds:

• Doing crafts

• Making art

• Reading

• Playing games and sports

• Creating imaginary worlds

• Singing

• Dancing

• Building forts with fallen branches

• Constructing with Legos

• Improvising skits

• And more!

The facilitators will create spaces for structured activities, free play, hikes in the woods, and will continue to foster student-led explorations. With all of the global challenges and changes recently, we’ve found that what kids are craving most is in-person connection with their peers.

Open Camp

For all camps, all ages:

Morning Session is 9:00 - 12:30

Afternoon Session is 1:00 - 4:30

Full Day runs 9:00 - 4:30

Early Day begins as early as 8:00

Late Day is open until 5:30

Fees:

• $120.75 per week for each half-day session (workshop or open camp)

• $215.25 per week for full-day (workshop or open camp)

• $31.50 per week for either early day or late day

• $63 per week for both early day and late day

There is a 10% sibling discount. The first child in a family is full price, and each sibling after will receive the discount.

Payment options include check, ACH (current Kazoo families only), and credit card (+2.9% fee).

Refunds and Cancellation

A 75% refund (minus any credit card fees) will be given for cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the session start date. Kazoo School reserves the right to cancel a session or workshop that does not reach minimum enrollment levels. Registrants will be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the session start date and will receive a full refund for camps cancelled due to low enrollment.
