Spanish

The primary goal of the Spanish program is to introduce students to language learning and different cultures in order to cultivate interest in a diversity of people and places. While learning to speak Spanish is a goal of the program, the program is also focused on providing exposure to Spanish language and cultures. Students are empowered to be engaged citizens of the world.

Students acquire Spanish language conversationally. Kazoo School incorporates art, music, and movement into Spanish learning through everyday routines, games, art, and songs. This interdisciplinary approach helps all students be engaged and caters to individual learning styles. Spanish grammar is introduced informally through natural conversation and practical use. Grammar rules are later taught in Middle School, ideally after the students have already been using them.
